1. Information collected
The application stores research-account name, email, organization, password hash, research-use attestation, and terms acceptance. Contact and partner forms store the information entered in those forms.
2. Information not collected in this phase
No cart, shipping address, order, payment card, bank detail, payment token, or checkout information is collected because commerce is disabled.
3. How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, administer access, answer inquiries, review partner applications, secure the service, and maintain an audit trail for administrative catalog changes.
4. Cookies
The application uses a strictly necessary session cookie and CSRF protection. It does not currently load advertising pixels or third-party analytics. If analytics are added later, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated first.
5. Security
Passwords are stored using adaptive one-way hashing. Access is role-based, forms use CSRF protection, database changes use constraints and migrations, and the site sends a restrictive content security policy.
6. Retention
Account and inquiry retention periods will be finalized before production. Olympus may retain security and audit records when required to protect the service or meet legal obligations.
7. Your requests
You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting Olympus. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal, or audit reasons.
8. Processors and transfers
Production hosting, email, storage, analytics, and payment processors have not yet been finalized for this replacement. The policy will name actual providers and transfer safeguards before launch.
